Privacy Statement
This privacy statement sets out how I use and protect the information you provide when accessing the website www.elifplayground.com as well as your personal data stored and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation (2018). Personal data refers to anything that may identify you as an individual including name, contact details. 

What information do we collect about you?

You are free to explore elifplayground.com without providing any Personal Information about yourself. When you visit my website or register for the E-Newsletter, you are requested to provide personal Information about yourself, and the website also collects basic navigational information. 

You can register for the E-newsletter from my website, by filling in the form at the bottom of the website or when you make a comment on a blog entry. You would be asked to provide your:

Name and/or
E-mail address

Purpose of collecting and processing data-

The information collected, mainly the E-mail address you provide, is taken only for the purposes of sending you the E-newsletter which includes updates about the website, blog or podcast entries as well as to occasionally notify you about important changes, or developments to the website or services.

Retention of Your Information

If you have elected to receive E-newsletter from my website, the information you provide to subscribe to the E-newsletter will be retained as long as there is an ongoing E-Newsletter or other updates of service from my website.  When there is no longer such a service, we will delete your information or, if this is not possible immediately, then it will be securely stored your information and isolate it from any further use until deletion is possible.
This information will be deleted at an earlier date if you so request by, as described in "To Unsubscribe" below.

Who do we share data with?

Your personal information is not shared with any third parties other than what is described in Service Providers below.

Service Providers
We employ another company (currently Mailchimp) to send the E-newsletter to users of the Subscription Service and may need to share your information with them to provide information or send the E-newsletter to you. In all cases where we share your information with such agents, we explicitly choose and require the agent to acknowledge and adhere to our privacy and customer data handling policies.
Individual rights: Reviewing, Correcting and Removing Your Personal Information

Under the General Data Protection Regulations, which are effective from 25 May 2018, you have the following rights:

• The right to be informed, which is why we have produced this policy
• You can request access, correction, updates or deletion of your personal information.
• You can object to processing of your personal information, ask us to restrict processing of your personal information.
• If we have collected and processed your personal information with your consent, then you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing prior to your withdrawal.
• You have the right to complain to a data protection authority about our collection and use of your personal information.
• To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at elif.playground@gmail.com.  I will respond to your request to change, correct, or delete your information within a reasonable time frame and notify you of the action I have taken.
  
• The right to data portability: this right is more relevant to IT companies e.g. the sharing of information when moving from one utility provider to another. I will not share your information without your specific consent, other than in the situations described above.
  
• The right to object: I will not contact you for marketing purposes unless you have given me specific consent to do so.
  
• The right not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling: I will not use your information for profiling purposes.

• Information we collect from you and how we use it: I may use your information to contact you to send the E-newsletter or ask for your views on the services offered, as well as to occasionally notify you about important changes, or developments to the website or services. If you decide that you do not want to receive any further communications, please let me know by sending an e-mail to elif.playground@gmail.com or by choosing ‘unsubscribe’ on the newsletters.

How we secure your information:  We employ security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorized persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage.  We make every effort to secure your information and maintain your confidentiality and choose and employ service providers that adhere to these security requirements.

Changes to our privacy policy: Any changes to our privacy policy will be added to this website and will immediately supersede any previously posted information.

Cookies:  Cookies are small files which ask your permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive so that it can analyze web traffic to my website. Through this I can see which of my website's pages are being viewed. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies but you can modify your setting to decline them if you prefer.
